Essential Fire Safety Awareness
The Fire Safety Level 1 (Warden/Marshal) – 4 Hour Course provides an introduction to fire awareness in the workplace and is suitable for employees across a wide range of working environments.
The course explores how workplace fires can occur, how they can be prevented and what employees should do in the event of a fire. It is also an ideal addition to new employee induction programmes and provides a foundation for those looking to progress into more specific fire safety responsibilities, including Fire Warden, Fire Marshal or Fire Steward roles.
Successful learners will achieve a nationally recognised Level 1 qualification, equivalent to Level 4 in Scotland.

Assessment, Certification & Course Delivery
Learners are required to successfully complete a test paper to achieve the qualification. Upon successful completion, learners will receive a nationally recognised Level 1 qualification, equivalent to Level 4 in Scotland.
The course can accommodate a maximum of 16 learners, with participants required to be at least 14 years old. Learners under the age of 16 can achieve the certificate but cannot assume responsibility within the workplace until they reach 16, at which point it is the employer's responsibility to determine their suitability for the role.
PTE Skills can deliver the course at your premises, subject to a pre-course assessment. On-site delivery can help reduce travelling and additional time away from the workplace, with training arranged at a time and date to suit your organisation. Corporate rate discounts may also be available where multiple courses are required.
