Managing Fire Safety in the Workplace
Fire can have devastating consequences in the workplace, including loss of life, injuries, damage to property and disruption to business continuity. Many workplace fires are preventable, making effective fire safety procedures, awareness and training an essential part of maintaining a safe working environment.
The Fire Safety Level 2 (Warden/Marshal) – 1 Day Course is designed for employees who want to develop their fire safety awareness and take on more specific responsibilities for managing fire risk within the workplace, including roles such as Fire Warden, Fire Marshal or Fire Steward.

The course develops learners' understanding of workplace fire risks and how those risks should be managed, with particular focus on the responsibilities of nominated fire wardens and the practical principles of fire safety management.

Assessment, Certification & Course Delivery
Learners who successfully complete the course assessment will receive a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification, equivalent to Level 5 in Scotland. Assessment includes the successful completion of a test paper.
The course can accommodate a maximum of 16 learners, with participants required to be at least 14 years of age. Learners under 16 can achieve the certificate but cannot assume responsibility within the workplace until they reach the age of 16, at which point it is the employer's responsibility to determine whether they are suitable for the role.
PTE Skills can deliver the course at your premises, subject to a pre-course assessment. On-site training can help reduce travelling and additional time away from the workplace, with training arranged at a date and time to suit your organisation. Corporate rate discounts may also be available where multiple courses are required.
