Essential Paediatric First Aid Skills
The Emergency Paediatric First Aid at Work Level 3 – 1 Day Course is designed for anyone with an interest in developing essential first aid skills for babies and children, including basic life support and responding effectively in an emergency.
This 6-hour qualification is particularly relevant for those working with children, including childminders and school teachers. For professionals who need to meet the full Ofsted and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements, 12 hours of paediatric first aid training is required. This one-day qualification forms the first half of the full 12-hour course.

Assessment, Certification & Course Delivery
Assessment takes place throughout the course through ongoing practical assessment by the instructor, alongside a written assessment. Upon successful completion, learners will receive a Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid, which is valid for three years.
The course is available for a maximum of 12 learners, with participants required to be at least 16 years of age. PTE Skills can also deliver the training at your premises, subject to a pre-course assessment, helping organisations reduce travelling and additional time away from the workplace.
On-site training can be arranged at a time and date to suit your requirements, with corporate rate discounts available where multiple courses are required.
